Who is responsible

Delivering and protecting the sites

Cloudflare provides hosting, content delivery, and security. Serving a page involves processing technical request data, such as your IP address, requested URL, browser information, and request time. Cloudflare may process security and network logs to detect abuse and keep the sites available. This is separate from the analytics described below.

Analytics, cookies, and browser storage

With your consent, I use Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate traffic and page-performance statistics. It stays off until you select Allow analytics. Rejecting it does not restrict access to any site feature. Its browser script reports information such as page URLs, referring sites, and loading times. Cloudflare states that this service uses no cookies, local storage, or visitor fingerprinting, and discards the source IP address during initial RUM processing. See Cloudflare’s RUM documentation.

You can review your choice using Privacy choices in any page footer, or withdraw it with Turn off analytics. Withdrawal stops further analytics and reloads the current page; the profile terminal’s in-memory history is cleared. It does not undo processing before withdrawal.

The site stores your analytics choice in first-party local storage under my-analytics-choice, solely to remember and respect it. The record contains your choice, the notice version, and its timestamps; it contains no visitor ID and is not sent to an analytics service. Both acceptance and rejection expire after 180 days; expired records are discarded when the site next checks them. Choices are separate for each site and browser. If storage is unavailable, a choice applies only to the current page. There are no advertising trackers or embedded social feeds. The profile terminal keeps command history only in page memory; reloading clears it. Cloudflare may use necessary security cookies if a security check is triggered; those are distinct from Web Analytics.

Contact and retention

If you email me, I and my email provider process your address and message to handle your enquiry. Providing this information is optional. I retain correspondence only while needed to respond, follow up, or meet legal requirements. Cloudflare’s retention of service and security data depends on its purpose and applicable obligations, as explained in its Privacy Policy.

Processing and international transfers

Where the GDPR applies, I rely on legitimate interests to operate secure, reliable personal sites and respond to enquiries. Optional analytics relies on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. Remembering your privacy choice is necessary to respect that choice. I do not sell visitor data or use it for automated decisions about you.

Cloudflare and other service providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Cloudflare describes its transfer safeguards, including the Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses where applicable, in its international transfers notice. Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your personal data. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact me at the address above to exercise these rights. You can complain to your local data protection authority. This notice will be updated if the sites’ data practices change.
